Is It A Pyramid?

The “P” word get’s thrown around so often these days. I’m not sure if most people really even know what it means without having an expert understanding of the context within which it’s being said.

We’ve all heard of Ponzi schemes. These companies are illegal and identified as a pyramid.

We also know companies that are legal. They have a legitimate operation and they too are often identified as a pyramid.

So what makes a company a LEGAL vs an ILLEGAL pyramid?

This question is an important one, but it isn’t the most pressing question you should be asking when evaluating a network marketing or multi-level marketing company.

Obviously you would want to only be involved with a “Legal” network marketing company, right?

Good. Because I will only be writing about Legal pyramids. LOL.

But just because a company is legally compliant, it doesn’t mean it’s a great opportunity for you or someone you know to get involved with.

For so long, i’ve contemplated writing a series of articles about what makes the difference between a GOOD network marketing company, a BAD one, and a GREAT one.

As a 14 year professional of this industry, I’ve seen it all.

I’ve seen people make bad decisions joining bad companies and badly getting spun out.

I’ve also seen people make wrong decisions joining companies that are NOT the right fit for them, and quickly getting jaded and burnt out.

Being able to identify what makes a company good, bad, great, or awful can save you and the ones you care about from devastation. Doesn’t it?

Being able to save friends, loved ones, and others from getting sucked in, suckered, and roped into deals that are only going to hurt their reputation, drain their bank account and leave you or them empty hearted and disappointed is priceless, isn’t it?

Think about it . . .

Spending a few hundred or even a few thousand dollars joining the wrong company rarely is devastating. But losing two, five, or ten years of your life to a company that you shouldn’t have joined in the first place is.

That’s why I’m writing this blog series. I want to help save everyone who reads this content from making these types of mistakes.

It hasn’t always been easy rosy road for me either. I’ve made mistakes too, but you’ll get the cheat sheets and the short cuts.
